The peloton races of the steep Côte de Saint-Roch in the town of Houffalize in the 104th edition of Liège – Bastogne – Liège in 2018. The race was won by the Quickstep Floors rider and champion of Luxembourg, Bob Jungels who escaped on the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons.

Canadian rider Michael Woods, riding for the EF Education First–Drapac p/b Cannondale team, won the sprint for second place ahead of AG2R La Mondiale’s Romain Bardet for France.

Saint-Roch is 1km long with an average gradient of 10.8% and its narrow and curving L-shaped profile crowds riders together as they fight for position.
